NATOA and Partners File Letter with FCC Seeking Delay of June 9th Agenda Item
On June 2, 2020, NATOA, NLC, USCM, NACo and NATaT filed a letter reiterating the need for delay and expressing our concerns with the substance of the proposed Declaratory Ruling and Notice of Proposed Rulemaking expected on the Commission’s June 9th agenda. The Ruling will impact the shot clocks related to certain wireless deployments and significantly undermine existing land use/zoning ordinances and prior approvals of wireless deployments, yet the process the Commission has used—a declaratory ruling rather than a rulemaking process—gave local governments less than two weeks to review and file ex parte letters on the proposals.
