FCC Extends Deadline for IAC Nominations

On December 6, 2019, the Commission released a Public Notice extending the deadline for nominations for memberships on the Intergovernmental Advisory Committee to January 13, 2020.

The IAC provides advice to the Commission on the many telecommunications issues affecting local, state and Tribal governments that are within the jurisdiction of the FCC. The IAC’s term runs for two years and its membership is comprised of elected or appointed officials from local, state and Tribal governments. The Commission has extended the nominations deadline to provide interested parties as great an opportunity as possible to apply for membership. We strongly urge local, state and Tribal government leaders to submit nominations to serve on the IAC. Applications submitted via email must be sent to IAC2020@fcc.gov.
