Biden-Harris Administration Secures Commitments on Internet Prices, Speeds
The Biden Administration has announced that they have secured commitments from 20 internet service providers to either increase speeds or cut prices to ensure they all offer ACP-eligible households high-speed internet plans for no more than $30/month. The ACP—Affordable Connectivity Program—was established in the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to provide up to $30/month (or $75/month on Tribal lands) to cover internet costs for eligible households. The Administration also announced the launch of GetInternet.gov, a website with details on how Americans can sign up for ACP and find participating internet providers in their area.
