New Resource: Keeping Local Permits and Licenses Moving During COVID-19
NATOA joined with the National League of Cities to create a resource that identifies some processes local governments have successfully implemented to enable the continued acceptance and processing of permits during the COVID-19 pandemic. Download the guide here.
We understand that telecommunications permits are just one of many services local governments are working to provide in the midst of this crisis, and hope this resource will be useful to communities that are looking for ways to keep permitting processes running while government buildings are closed to the public. NATOA and NLC have been discussing permitting processes with the telecommunications industry, led by the Wireless Infrastructure Association (WIA), to reach a shared understanding of the challenges we all face. This discussion has shown that local governments continue to process permits in some capacity despite the significant strain on resources. For those communities in need of additional resources or technical support, some wireless companies and WIA have offered to help where possible. Please contact Nancy Werner if you have any questions.
