Professional Bio
Mark Kaufmann has been with the City of Allen, Texas since May of 2000 starting as a Media Technician and leveling up to Executive & Creative Producer for ACTV. He leads a team of two producers, who all work together and challenge themselves to produce the most interesting and entertaining content for local government (pushing limits at times).
ACTV’s trophy case includes several prestigious awards including 10 Lone Star Emmy Awards and 11 NATOA Overall Excellence in Government Programming Awards.
Mark holds a double major in Film and Theater Arts from the University of Arizona.
In 2013, Mark received NATOA’s Brian Wilson Award for Programming Excellence.
Mark is also adjunct faculty and teaching Cinematography at Collin College. For 15 years he taught Digital Video & History of Film Making.
Mark and his wife Cher, an artist & surface pattern designer, have a daughter, Sedona and a son, Lance.
