Jay Runte

Jay Runte currently serves as the City of Eugene, Oregon - Broadband and Telecommunications Program Manager. His primary focus includes franchising, quarterly tax and fee remittance, promoting local authority over public rights-of-way, broadband deployment, and digital equity projects. Previously, Jay was Eugene’s American Rescue Plan Act Manager managing a $35 million State and Local Fiscal Recovery program. Before serving with Eugene, Jay spent twenty years in conservation education management roles and over sixteen years of executive level leadership and administration with the Northwest Youth Corps and U.S. Forest Service.
