Professional Bio
Daniel Lightfoot is an Intergovernmental Relations Representative and Manager of Federal Relations with the League of Minnesota Cities, which represents 837 city governments across the state of Minnesota. As a member of the League’s Intergovernmental Relations Team, he primarily covers issues pertaining to telecommunications policy and right-of-way management, cable franchising, housing, and economic development issues, and advocates on behalf of member cities before state and federal lawmakers and agency officials. Prior to joining the League of Minnesota Cities, Daniel was the Government Affairs Manager at the Minnesota Dental Association where he advocated on behalf of over 3,000 dental providers across the state. Daniel also worked as a Public Policy Advisor with Faegre Baker Daniels, LLP in Washington, DC as a member of the firm’s Public Sector Practice Group representing local government clients before the U.S. Congress and federal agencies. Daniel graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Political Science.
