Professional Bio
Amanda Kleber is a seasoned communications professional with a diverse background in public broadcast media and municipal communications. Her career began with an internship at KBTC, a local PBS station, during her college years, laying the foundation for her future in public service communications.
After earning her bachelor's degree in communications from the University of Washington in 2014 and managing social media for the UW Office of Advancement, Amanda joined the City of University Place in 2015. In her role with the city, she juggles various aspects of the Communications Department. Her responsibilities currently include social media management, content creation, emergency management, oversight of City Council meetings, and video production for both social media platforms and University Place Television.
Since her time with the City, she has had 12 nominations for NATOA awards. Of these nominations, she has claimed two Awards of Excellence. She is both a member of NATOA as well as the Government Social Media Organization.
