Derrick Kenny

As the Community Engagement Manager for the Technology, Enterprise and Business solutions department, Derrick Kenny provides ongoing support for Montgomery County’s Office of Broadband Programs including management of websites, social media, the County government television station, Community Engagement team, and support for the County's government, education, and community cable tv stations.

Kenny has a knack for researching and developing innovative solutions, providing effective project management, and facilitating effective communications with stakeholders.

He holds a BA in Journalism from Howard University and an MBA in Marketing from Strayer University. He earned his Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI).

Kenny is a past president of the Capital Press Club, past Director of Multimedia of Metropolitan Baptist Church, former Director of the Capitol Radio Network and in his life outside of the County spends time supporting small businesses, non-profits and churches with digital marketing support through his company Bold American Marketing, LLC.
