Merlyn Reineke is an Emmy Award-winning senior media executive with more than 20 years experience leading and coaching high-performing cross-functional teams, as well as extensive experience in launching and growing innovative media services. Merlyn currently serves as Executive Director of Montgomery Community Media in Rockville Maryland, one of the nations’ largest public access media organizations. From 1998 to 2008, Mr. Reineke served as Senior Director of Programming & Distribution Services at the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS), where he helped oversee the development and launch of public television’s digital TV services. These satellite channels serve as the backbone of PBS’s High Definition and multicast offerings for the post-analog television era. 

Prior to joining PBS, Mr. Reineke was a part of the senior management teams that launched two start-up national cable channels. In 1996, Mr. Reineke was Vice President of Programming & Studio Production for Wingspan: The Air & Space Channel, where he oversaw all network scheduling and program production as well as assisting in all national carriage deals. Prior to this, Mr. Reineke served as Director of Programming at National Empowerment Television (later America’s Voice) where he was Executive Producer of all programming and program development.
